About Us

Exodus Youth Worx (EYW) is a Christian based youth organisation that aims to provide a network of support for youth who have no community. It aims to re-direct and guide the marginalised and less fortunate young people in the area to give them the best opportunity possible to become proactive members of society. Our programs aim to empower young people with life skills. For example we provide leadership training and drama workshops to boost their self-esteem. Our workshops and facilities allow youth to discover their identity whilst providing a community in which they feel comfortable in.

The Exodus centres provide emergency housing, employment assistance, drug/alcohol support, counseling and other related services. We are able to undertake these with the use of a combination of over 30 local volunteers and 6 paid workers who are responsible for the day to day running of the organisation as well as programs, projects and events. Exodus began 11 years ago by connecting with youth at Tempe Park, it now covers a broad span across Sydney with 3 sites in Ramsgate, Dolls Point and Granville.

The volunteer element is a vital aspect of the organisation as it allows people to give back to their community via support and assistance to young people in need. Most, if not all our volunteers have a great deal of experience in dealing with young people. They include professional counsellors, psychologists, teachers and social workers. Exodus also employs youth workers and social workers to cater for specific cases that require focused attention.
