Court Support for Young People
EYW provides support for young CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) youth who are currently facing court proceedings. Our staff are highly respects by the Juvenile Justice system for their diligence and commitment to their clients. EYW provides support and mediation for the whole family and the young person in the areas of court appearances, translation and moral support. EYW networks with the police & legal aid in providing open forums for discussion and education for CALD young people.
“Legal Aid comes to exodus and runs a workshop after Screening the movie “Burn” a movie produced by Legal Aid about “In company “charges. Legal Aid NSW has been running a major crime prevention program on young people and group offending. The aim off the program has been to prevent people from getting caught up in serious group assaults and robberies. Members of EYW participated in the workshops and got a chance to find out more about the law and young people. “
EYW networks with Legal Aid and the Juvenile Justice System providing advocacy for CALD teenagers in the local areas of Bankstown, Marrickville, Rockdale and Parramatta.
